Start after school alignment. Money and markets or forces and energy are candidates, not pre-selected answers. Jeremy's question comes first.

Build a model, explanation, guide, or testable prototype.

Make one real decision or take one small action because of the inquiry.

January decision gate
If school runs Exhibition
Use its topic, collaboration, mentor, calendar, action, and assessment expectations. The site is the research notebook and publishing support.
If school does not
Run an independent capstone with the same evidence discipline, but label it accurately and keep the workload within the three-session weekly maximum.
January–May milestone path
- JanuaryRecord the decision: support the school PYP Exhibition, or run an accurately labelled independent capstone. Narrow the question.
- FebruaryGather varied sources or observations and record who made them, why, and what they cannot establish.
- MarchBuild a claim/evidence map and an early artifact.
- AprilTest the explanation with a reader or user; revise from specific feedback.
- MayPublish and present the outcome, action, reflection, and remaining uncertainty.
